Summer Arts Workshops

The Summer Arts Workshops for girls and boys, ages 10 and up, exposes students to a variety of mediums and processes. Students will complete works in clay, drawing, painting and mixed media during a two-week sessions.


  • June 19 – June 30, 2017 (ages 10-14)
  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Drop off starts at 8:30 a.m.; pick up ends at 3:30 p.m.

Most projects are designed to last the duration of the session. Students attending both sessions will have the opportunity to further develop projects from the previous session as well as create new projects. Students also have the opportunity to focus on particular mediums or areas of concentration with guidance from the teacher.

*New this summer - Trips to NOMA (transportation dependent)

  • 9:00-10:30 a.m. Focus on 2D media
  • 10:30 a.m. Break (snack provided)
  • 10:30 – 12:00 p.m. – Brainstorming for projects – Contemporary Art introduction – 2D and 3D work time
  • 12:00-12:30 p.m. Lunch (students bring a bag lunch and drink)
  • 12:30-2:00 p.m. Focus on 3D media
  • 2:00-3:00 p.m. Additional work on various projects in progress
  • 3:00-3:30 p.m. Dismissal (pick up students in the studio)

The cost for each session is $300 and includes all materials and one snack per day. Payment is due by Friday, June 1, 2017.
